What is Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)
Hundreds of academic studies have been done, and they have all resulted in the outcome that ABA is the most effective way to teach individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as well as individuals with other developmental disabilities. Behavior analysis helps us to understand how behavior works, how behavior is affected by the environment, and how learning takes place. ABA therapy applies our understanding of how behavior works to real situations. The goal is to increase behaviors that are helpful and decrease behaviors that are harmful or affect learning. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evident-based therapy that focuses on the science of learning and behavior.
Who can benifit
ABA therapy can help people living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) but also those who suffer from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), speech delays, and/or other intellectual disabilities.
How ABA works
After conducting an in-home evaluation the Behavioral Analyst (BA) will develop an individualized treatment plan. The treatment plan along with a prior authorization request will be sent to the insurance. After the insurance approves services, a registered behavioral therapist (BT) will implement the treatment plan on a one-to-one basis. The BA will conduct weekly supervision to ensure the highest quality service.
